Digging through the pieces...
Saturday, 24 February 2007 04:34:09

So, um, okay, I received lots of wonderful comments that made me feel all warm and squishy inside on the "Digging..." set, but honestly, folks, I didn't mean for it to be as long as it is. I'll see what I can do, but I only ever want to put up things I'm proud of, and I thought I was done with the "Digging Through Dreams" piece...but I'll see what else I can come up with. You people are all so...uplifting. I'll write for you...when I get the inspiration. Thanks from the deepest wellspring of my heart!

The Crow: Serenity -- Title kinda speaks for itself, a Crow/Serenity crossover. It starts from the Pilot, Simon's attempt to rescue River goes horribly wrong, she escapes, but he is murdered. As a precaution, the entire Tam family is massacred. The Crow brings Simon back from the dead to get revenge on those responsible. There will also be a Simon/Kaylee love plot; Simon will be torn between his desire for vengeance and his feelings for Kaylee. Also the fact that he is a living corpse might be a factor. Broken -- Set after 'The Job', a previous series of mine, the Crew find an abandoned ship and on it is a 19-year-old slave named Ash Mercer being shipped back to his (physically, mentally and sexually) abusive owner after running away. He finds a home on Serenity and at first River is confused and annoyed by him. But the pair grow close, connected by the pain they have endured, and pure, beautiful love blossoms. I plan a gag where Ash has been ‘pleasuring himself’ while thinking of River, not knowing that she is psychic and *very* aware of his activities. I also plan to bring back the beloved Taylor Brandon for a very large cameo. A terrifying virus outbreak on Vermillion triggers Taylor to call the best available Doctor, Simon, for help. He, of course, obliges and the Crew stays there for a while. Ash will be portrayed by Garrett Hedlund, who I am a little in love with. For those who don't know of Garrett, I pity you. I have a couple more brewing in my brain, but nothing well planned.

Trying to be Helpful -- The Alt Commands
Saturday, 24 February 2007 19:35:50

I don't know if this has been done before, but I'd figure I'd post them because some of them are interesting. I think there's the Greek alphabet, and useful symbols for math and languanges, but most of the others seem silly (unless everything but your numbers and Alt key stop working, and you need to type something ). ::shrugs:: Oh, and apologies if they're too small, or the columns don't come out like I wanted them to. I'll try to fix those after I save this entry. EDIT: It's fixed the best I know how. The discrepencies in column alignment come from different symbol and number sizes. For the less technologically savvy, I'll do my best to explain how these work. To make those symbols appear, one holds down the Alt button (usually next to the spacebar on either side) while typing the number. It's like holding Shift down to type a colon (:), capitalize letters, or enclose things with parenthesis. (Oh, and it works better if you use the number keypad to the side - or the fn button, found on some laptops.)
