I am so tired of hearing that we are. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard "Women sometimes know what they don't want, but they don't know what they do want." or "Women always get complicated." or "I'll never understand women." or something in a similar vein, I would be lying on a beach instead of sitting in front of my computer reeking of burnt coffee from my wage-slave job. Women want three very simple things. 1) To understand what is going on 2) To be acknowledged and appreciated (on a regular basis, not just once in awhile; a kind word, a hug, a kiss, a truly thrilling roll in the hay, you get the idea. As often as possible!) 3) Chocolate Why is that complicated? Am I wrong? Seriously. Sometimes situations can get complicated, or women seem to be overreacting to something not understood, but I am convinced that it can be traced back to either not understanding what's going on or just wanting to be told she's loved and appreciated. Or possibly a problem that she can't fix. I guess that's the other thing that can send me over the edge. But when there's a problem I can't fix, often the best solution is someone to hug me and say it's okay. Or fix the problem if they have the power to do so. Or both! Hey, both is good. Chocolate also helps. I can't imagine this is just me. So am I the only not-really-that-complicated woman around? Sure, I freely admit I have my times of freaking out, but it's always pretty simple as to why. Specifics change, but those general things don't. I need to understand, I need a hug, or I need chocolate. Simple. Not complicated.

Well I stepped off in it now. I never thought I would fall into the fanatic category. I've never had the urge to dress as a Jedi, or don rubber ears and pretend to be logical. That is until I found Firefly. Now I didn't intend to "geek out" over Firefly but little by little I found that I was. Besides watching it more times than I can count, I found myself telling everyone I ran across about this great show. Then my desire for more took me online, where I searched for, and changed regularly, new images to display as my wallpaper. Then came the collectibles. A comic book here a companion guide there, checking my bank balance against the auction about to close on Ebay. I joined more forums than I can visit in a day, bring up discussions that I'm sure they have had a hundred times since the show left the air. No one seemed to mind. Although I never had been sucked in before I had heard of the arguments over Kirk or Picard or which Lightsaber color is better. Browncoats weren't like that. Far from it. Now you might think at this point the transformation was complete but not quite. I found this site and fan fiction. In my search for more Firefly I found you guys and gals that have expanded the verse with a library of literature, and for the first time I did what I up until that point I thought impossible, I joined in reading your great stories and adding my own attempts. The transformation is complete I am a fanatic. I'm am happy I only need a long brown coat to show my support. I think the rubber ears would be annoying.

I am feeling extremely wacky right now...and that just sounded right. Anyway, new First job up, still nothing on Possibilities, am still stuck on that....I have written some more in it, but not anywhere near enough to post. Actually I've erased enough to post three times over... Still plugging away at it though, so don't give up, I'm not going to ditch it so have patience. Enjoy and thanks for reading my work!

Hey all, just ran across this little segment and I found it to be very true to how I feel when it comes to women... please note, there is some foul language in this quote... you HAVE been warned!!! "Now let's move on to the subject of how a real man treats his wife. A real man doesn't slap even a ten-dollar hooker around, if he's got any self-respect, much less hurt his own woman. Much less ten times over the mother of his kids. A real man busts his ass to feed his family, fights for them if he has to, dies for them if he has to. And he treats his wife with respect every day of his life, treats her like a queen-the queen of the home she makes for their children." Now I realise that last line may be a bit sexist, but you get the general idea... and this is totally true of how I feel. -BC07

Hi there, My cousin, Christopher, got married yesterday and all in all it was a good day. Apart from the flies. Seriously, they were everywhere. Claire, his wife, looked lovely. The dress was beautiful, not over the top at all, just simple and elegant. Although, my side of the family did spend half the service in hysterics because one of the hymns was absolutely dreadful. I can't remember what it was called but there was no discernible tune and every line seemed to have a different tune. It was awful. It was nice to see the relatives again. Since my Grandma died, I've barely seen them. Other random things: my cousin, Leslie, was mortified because someone had a very similar dress to her, my cousin Tom has an absolutely horrible moustahce and someone asked my Uncle Joe if he was Christopher's brother. That boosted his ego no end. Also my dad decided to paint his cast with white emulsion to cover up the blood on it. We didn't go to the evening disco because my dad can't drive 'cos of his broken arm (something that is driving him up the wall) and my mam refuses to drive in the dark. TTFN Jennifer -x-
