The "Alana Falcon Foundation" will begin to accept applications for your very own shiny copy of Serenity, delivered to your doorstep, free of charge. The number of "full scholarships" has yet to be decided. Applications will be accepted until January 12, 2006. Recipients of the scholarship will be notified by February 1, 2006. The review committee will assess the application for the following factors: 1. Financial need. 2. Persuasive argument. Joss' intro to the pre-screening is a bonus feature and I thought it was really sweet. He's totally sincere and looks really touched that the movie/legacy has made it so far. When he used the line from the pilot ("We have done the impossible and that makes us mighty...") I almost started crying! :blush: I sooo would've loved to be at a pre-screening, but now I can see it anytime I want, so who am I to be complaining? :smile:

I can!I'm in a very shiny mood today, probably because I've been sleeping in these past few days, so my internal clock is off and it feels like 3 in the afternoon instead of 11:30 at night. :biggrin: Anywho, I just wanted to share my waves of love with my lovely browncoat family. this is my first blog entry here, though i do have a blog somewhere else. i've been itching to post [i]something[/i] here, so now's as good a time as any, i suppose. i'm new to this 'verse, new to [i]firefly[/i] and everything, and i wish i something terribly insightful and amazing to say. but i don't, because it's late. everyone has been cool to me so far, so thanks for not mocking me or ignoring me or something to that effect. i just want to say that browncoats are the most phenomenal fans i have ever come into contact with. you guys are awesome! [i]firefly[/i] has destroyed tv for me since i watched the entire series. i never knew that tv could be that good. the writing, the acting... now that i know, how can i just watch the random crap that's on? it's like when i read james joyce for the first time or when i read frank herbert's [i]dune[/i] and then tried to read what i had been reading before. (i won't name authors, a lady never tells.) um, i've managed to convert another person, based solely on adam baldwin as jayne. i brought my series set to her place and we watched [i]serenity pt.1[/i]. pointing to jayne, i said, "he's in all of it." and she said, "wow. he's hot. i love this show." so, that was easy. yeah, so that's it.

I wandered into a rather large Borders Book store yesterday, looking for some last minute ideas. I was greeted just inside the door with the 'New Releases' stand, which was prominently displaying 'SERENITY ' DVD's. I was glad to find it was put right there, for all to see. Then I checked out the TV on DVD section upstairs. Right on top of a table full of DVDs...FIREFLY. In both cases, I made it a point to go over and pick up each DVD and check it out. It's not that I rushed over and jumped up and down while holding the DVDs, but I did display a bit of interest (genuine) that could have caught the eye of a nearby shopper looking for that last minute gift.....Ok, I admit it...it's a long shot, but hey, what did it hurt ? I've had so much trouble with this part! Between grades and stress and parent conferences, etc., I really had thought my muse had dried up. But I *finally* got it, thank God. With any luck, the next part won't take me so gorram long.

Yes, It's finally up. I am trying to keep you guys guessing so if you have any theories, I'd love to hear them. Any feedback is gold. I have a specific place I want to go to with the characters, but I'd love to know what everyone thinks.
