I was recently in a Harbor Freight store (all kinds of fixety stuff). I bought a canteen,a canvas tote bag with lots of pockets and some other stuff. We were watching Jaynestown. I saw my canteen hanging behind Mal's right ear in the mudder bar. Could have died laughing. Today we were watching War Stories. Hubby said "Is that your bag?!" Rewind and slow advance and sure enough: the bag Zoe hands to the goons on Niska's space station is pretty much a dead ringer for the one I have. That just tickled me. I'll be watching for more of my stuff from now on. But if I see one of them in my bra I'll scream. :blush:JAYNE!! Give that back!

Big news. I quit my job to spend more time with the voices in my head. Yep, I am going to attempt to become a Proper Writer (as in paid cashy money) this year. Hopefully, the House Moving Saga is in its final throes. Then I will have my office/padded room. This also means that Cold Comfort Mountain shoud be finished soon - I have it drafted, but still being denied broadband, and unable to reach my machine for extended periods at home, posting it up is difficult. On the plus side, the mojo is working again after Xmas, and there are at least two (three?) more big story lines in the pipe-line. Although I will be working on a Completely Original Idea for the Book, I don't reckon on getting rid of those nice folks so easily (who do you think I am? Some gorram F*x exec?) Hope to be back on the boards soon. You hold, now, you hear?...

It is amazing how much of this white stuff that can come suddenly. We had a snow free Christmas here and everybody was thinking that global warming, that horrible monster most scary, had come to stay. But alas, winter came late but with a vengeance, it seems. It is not so bad though, January here is usually -20 C and thick slippery ice, so 20-30 cm snow and only a few degrees below zero ain't so bad. Its pretty too. And it gives everybody an excellent excuse for staying indoors and watching for example, this is only a random example from the top of my head  ... Firefly (again).
