Well, I was in the Chat yesterday talkin with Lissa, Ath, TheRealMe aand Cozen. Well they were talkin about horses's ages, and I mentioned a horse I used to take care of that is 43. Then they asked a horse or a pony. And I said Horse.And then Cozen's like "a PifflePony??" Now we have changed the name of the chat from the Goslings to the PifflePonies. Bite me Goslings!! :wink: Be ready to see the shipment of ponies all over the site! Ps...The trailer kicked ASS!!! PPs...Cozen, I still owe you...

This past Monday marked the passing of the third prominant military leader within the last month. I guess it's true what they say about people dying in threes. General Louis H. Wilson, former Commandant of the Marine Corps and Medal of Honor recipient, died June 21st. Vice Admiral James B. Stockdale, Medal of Honor recipient, died July 5th. General William Westmoreland, former Army Chief of Staff, died July 18th. Fair winds and following seas... Droppy

Whew! It's less than 24 hours since I got the MP3 postcard of "The Ballad of Joss" circulating, and it's been a very busy day. Folks from all over have been emailing me to say they liked it, and/or to ask me about minor glitches. So I've spent all day responding, chatting, sorting glitches, and figuring out how to make the hi-fi version of the song available. And now it is. So if you got the postcard early in the day, consider going back to get it again. The 24 kbps version will still stream on the first page, but after you send to three friends (or skip that option if you must, you greedy hwoondan), you can download the 320kbps version on the third page.

This blog is dedicated to those people who complain about the trailer and the "Serenity" poster. I will now quote Harry Dresden (protagonist of the Dresden Files book series, written by Jim Butcher), as I feel this fragment of "Summer Knight" applies greatly: "Sometimes the most remarkable things seem commonplace. I mean, when you think about it, jet travel is pretty freaking remarkable. You get in a plane, it defies the gravity of an entire planet by exploiting a loophole with air pressure, and it flies across distances that would take months or years to cross by any means of travel that has been significan for more than a century or three. You hurtle above the earth at enough speed to kill you instantly should you bump into something, and you can only breath because someone built you a really good tin can that has seams tight enough to hold in a decent amount of air. Hundreds of millions of man-hours of work and struggle and research, blood, sweat, tears and lives have gone into the history of air travel, and it has totally revolutionized the face of our planet and societies. But get on any flight in the country, and I absolutely promise you that you will find someone who, in the face of all that incredible achievement, will be willing to complain about the drinks. The [i]drinks[/i], people." [...] I find this fragment relevant enough, in that we had "Firefly" and they took it away from us. We liked it bad enough to push and push and have people take notice of the following the show had, so we could have the movie. The movie is done. It was an awful lot of work for everybody involved. And yet, there's people who'll complain about such silly things as "the trailer doesn't have horses" or "the poster's tagline is all wrong." Are you ruttin' kiddin'? We have achieved the impossible. No cancelled show gets a feature film made. Ever. That makes us mighty. Just don't let the idea of mightiness go to your head. Usually, that tends to not go well...
