I got stupid and forgot to include character descriptions in the fic! Aggh! Me = stupid Anyway, here are the main characters that aren't already described. Austin King: Big dood. He's around six foot ten, weighs around two-thirty, most of it muscle. He uses a big, big sword. Like Runding big. (Go read Eaters of the Dead/13the Warrior) Uses a .44 mag when he can't use his sword. Roxanne Davis: Around six one, weighs somewher around one fifty. A real tomboy. She fights harder than most of the men under Gray's command. She's somewhat famous for her use of a spiked chain. Also uses an automatic carbine. Ely Macyntire: Kinda squirrely. Small, only five seven, one hundred twenty pounds. Uses two katars (pucnhing daggers) and a Colt .45 automatic. Computer genius too. Talented gymnast. Jack Hofmann: A great pilot. Maybe a half step above Wash. About five eleven or six foot, hundred forty pounds. Doesn't fight that much, but when he does he uses a longsword and semiautomatic rifle with a scope. Tom Lee: Good with machines. Kinda stupid. Five ten and one-sixty pounds. Almost never fights, but when he has to, he uses a hammer and assault rifle. There are two more main characters that haven't been introduced yet. Naturally, I won't tell you who they are. Any guesses? ~WG out

You could easily classify my husband and I as a dork couple. He was in the chess club, I was a tuba player (tuba chicks rock)in the marching band and to make it worse we weren't even cool dorks, ya know the kid who's so dorky all the other dorks wish they were him. Anyhow, my husband and I got back from buying a new 360 game, said hubby took our one year old son down stairs and I volunteered to take out the recycling. When I come down stairs to join my two men, I find my husband sitting on the couch, controller in hand and my son sitting on his lap, staring at the screen and hitting buttons. (driving my hubby nuts) Well I took a picture, because it was so darn cute and than it occured to me. Our son has no hope. He will be a dork. There is no way out of it for him. What do you get when you mix two different kinds of dorks? You get a super hyprid dork! He'll be a piccalo player in the marching band (because you don't get dorkier than a male piccalo player, heck even girl ones tend to be less than cool) and he'll be playing dungeons and dragons wearing an elf costume in some other dorks basement argueing about who's magical mysical bow and arrow would cause more damage to a balrog. What do i do? He's doomed. I'll just start work on the elf costume now. *sigh*

I've been so busy, and I've had no inspiration for the longest time, but I'm BACK! I've changed a couple of things in parts one, two and three of The Invited and I've completed part four- The finale! :-) It'll be up within a few minutes of me posting this. I hope my fans haven't abandoned me!!!

But, I swear, I'm getting to it! My firefly addiction has hit an all time high. I've joined the fine folk at www.stillflying.net, which has been tons of fun, but has cut into my fanfic time a little. I'm officially the casting director, finding actors to virtually play the roles of original characters, which is tons of fun and not too time consuming. But, because I'm me, I want to write too, and it just so happened that one of the writers was going on vacation and they needed someone to step up and write and episode... Well, of course, I volunteered. So far its been going very well. Matt, the writer, had very good notes for how the episode should go, so writing it has been very fun. This, however, really has stolen my "Over the Hills..." time. What can I say? Geminis are known for their ability to rapidly switch projects. Sorry? I am getting back to working on "Over the Hills..." though. I am half way through chapter eleven, having a little bit of trouble working out the finer points of this chapter's "job" (I swear, if I ever writing another fanfic, they're going to steal something; teenage sabotage is complicated, damn it!), which of course made it ten times easier to forgo writing my fanfic so that I could write the virtual firefly episode... but I swear, things are starting to come along. I'm not going to be doing much writing this weekend. I may do some more before I go to bed tonight and I might have sometime to work on either this or the virtual firefly episode tomorrow, but Friday night I have a friend coming to visit (which should be awesome) and on Sunday I am going to Chicago with my Buddhism in Asian America class to visit a Buddhism temple and participate in their services. By the way -- anyone have a question they would like answered by a Buddhist monk? I haven't though of one yet. :-( I will have to get up around 4:40ish so that I have enough time to get ready and walk to the parking lot where we are meeting (damn U of I for being so big -- its a half hour walk) so that I'll be there by 6:15 am. Maybe I can get away with getting up at 5:00... Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know. Peace. ~ Arcadia

Finally! I have converted another to the Firefly family. She may not be fanatical, but she does like. My mother-in-law watched Serenity and then we got her into watching the others. So I have finally made the first conversion of my browncoat career. It feels good! Keep converting.

So here I am at my internship taking this opportunity to blog. I am a naughty intern. It sounds kinky, but its not. The truth is, next week is my last and I have run out of projects. Also, my boss isn't here today so I have no reason to even pretend to be busy. Basically, I've been job hunting and apartment hunting all morning. I'm starting to get anxious as the big moving day approaches. What if I can't find any one to hang out with? Huh? I am a social person by nature. An extrovert. If I don't find a way in which to unfurl my social butterfly wings, they will wither and die. I'll become one of those old woman that sits around watching tv and talking to her cat. Hey, wait a minute, I already do that :) 'Cept I'm not what one would consider old yet. I'm sure all this worry is much ado about nothing, but I can't help it. I'm a bit of a spaz, actually. So I'm trying to think of something firefly related to say just so you browcoats won't feel like you've read this blog for nothing. Unfortunately, I feel a little blocked right now, so let me leave you with one last thought. Its a little obvious, but nonetheless should be stated daily: Nathan Fillion is a sexy beast. --Chosen1
