Jonathan Woodward. I think he lives at hotels, especially if people buy him drinks. I spoke to Jonathan briefly after MalN introduced me, but all I remember was tugging his forelock for him to lean down so I could smell his hair. I don’t know why that came up, I wasn’t flirting, really. The gesture had some pertinent context in what we were talking about, I just can’t remember what that context was. He straightened up and said “That’s a pretty odd thing to smell.” To which I prattled “Back of the neck, behind the ears. Those are the best.” He pretended to find that interesting. I blame the Guinness. My favorite shot of Christina. She stopped by for visit Friday night:

I wasn't sure whether to put this up or not, but have decided to. Some of you know, some of you don't, but my sister is pregnant (eight months gone now!). This is a 3d scan pic she had done. So, here is my first nephew.

I'm back after moving house. we upgraded from a small block and house to a 1 acre property with a big house. Well, when I say big I mean, 4 bedrooms, walk in rob and ensuite to main, built in's to the other three a study with built in robe, huge back room, large lounge and large dining, plus big kitchen and second huge bathroom. oh yeah, and did I mention 1 acre.

Some folks were asking for a recording, so I slapped something together. It's light-years from studio quality, but I hope people will enjoy the emotion.

Watched the second half of this movie twice (don't ask me why, but I still haven't seen the first half), and all I have to say is this: Gerhardt (Alan Tudyk) = awesome

I've always thought I could write something and now I have. Boy, was it hard. I think I went through 7-8 drafts on this little fic and could have gone 70-80 more. Finally I said to heck with it-it's a piece of Christmas fluff and I'll just throw it out there and take my chances. My second fic with lots of angst will be coming in a coulple of days. So here it is-Enjoy!

At Clare’s restaurant on Saturday, I ended up dancing like a crazy person with a young couple from New York who were on their honeymoon. We talked movies. (They ended up winning one of the Fringe raffle items on Sunday, as did Tall Sean and his wife.) The dancing was a blast. Browncoats have no shame. We screamed the lyrics at the top of our collective lungs. I dunno, must have been all that pent-up energy, since the VIPs had finally left the building. Being inebriated, I only remember "White Wedding" and "Just Can't Get Enough" by Depeche Mode. Here are my dancing friends with Alan. I wish I could remember their names!

So, yesterday I'm reading the entertainment section of my local newspaper; The Charlotte Observer. And what should I see, buried in the back of said section, but an article about the upcoming MMORPG based our beloved show. It wasn't long, and the only thing that it actually mentioned was that the show was canceled, and now it's being made into a show. But it was really good to read the word Firefly in my local paper, dealing with the show. Even though it was an AP article, and nobody on the actual paper knows what it is. Plus, maybe it'll get people who otherwise wouldn't be, thinking about the show. I really love the 'verse as an online game. The makers were right to think that it's rife for an expansion. The way that Joss designed it made it different from the Trek universe or even the Star Wars universe, in that there are no aliens, and there are only humans to deal with.

OK, So I know this isn't Firefly/Serenity related but I'm doing research on children with single parents, and you guys are one of the best online communities I've found in my 20 years of living so I thought I'd bring this to you. What I'm looking for are stories about you and your single parent. Can be funny, sad,... anything. If you have or had a single parent and would like to share is would help a great deal. Thanks a bunch.
