Gorramit, is it November yet? All I'm hearing over the comms these days are hate-ads and slanderous remarks from one candidate to the next. Proposition This, Vote Yes on That! So and so fought for this, such and such didn't fight but says he did. Gawd! It's all Alliance when you look at it; really, it's a matter of who do you hate more. Whoever you hate more, vote for the other guy. And what's with these armchair pundits filling the outskirts of the comm bands with a bunch of misinformed go-se about one guy or the other? Get over it. You can either keep yer trap shut and do yer votin' duty, or you can open it and make the rest of us point out that your mouth keeps moving and that ya might want to see to that. *Sigh* Makes me glad I'm out on the rim now. Doesn't mean that I don't jab back at those filling the comms, just means I get even more surly in my answers. Stirring the pot. It's what I do. ;) -UO

I'm so screwed right now. I lost my boss's necklace. I was supposed to get it cleaned, but I spaced out (theres a big surprise) and didn't do it. Now I don't know what happened and I looked everywhere. You know, it's pretty sad when you watch that movie "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" and you can completely relate. Ugh! I'm praying that it didn't have sentimental value, because if it did...my butt is so fired. Anyone need a nanny in the DC area?

Sometimes life hands you a lemon, and you find a group of people who can give you a little bit of sugar to turn it into lemonade. I think the community on this board is so great and so supportive of each other it is truly a wondrous thing. I think that everyone should take a moment to realize that they are very good people. They may not be having the best day imaginable, but when you hear someone else's story, you chime in with good feelings. I know that this is not something I strictly need in my life, but the community and the camraderie is something I want there. So, I guess when I'm feeling down, I'll remember the immortal words of Jayne, "Far as I see it, You people have been given the shortest end of a stick ever offered a human soul in this crap-hill 'verse... But you took that end, and you, you know... Well... You took it. And that's... I guess that's somethin'."
