The great move is now reality. I'm moving from my grandparent's and Mom's old house to a newer, smaller rental house while this one is up for sale. I guess I'm following the national trend of downsizing and simplifying my life. Half my big stuff is in the new place and on Saturday morning the rest will be over there, phone and internet will be going. *crosses fingers big time*. That just leaves little details like clothes, dishes, food etc. The chest freezer is already over there thanks to a co worker and his son. They came over and really moved fast for 2 1/2 hours Wednesday, literally manhandling, a sleeper sofa that's at least 45 years old. Yes, it's been recovered but it weighs a ton and didn't fit easily through any of the doors in the old house, except for the porch door and down into the trailer. It acted like it didn't want to leave the house but it eventually did. Went out and bought my daughter a new full sized mattress, foundation and springs. Whoa! I hadn't bought one in years and the price shocked me. Of course, each piece is priced separately and a delivery charge. I hope that I don't have to buy another new one any time soon. It left a big hole in my wallet. All that's left of the big stuff is my bed, TV stand , desk and electronics including the PC. I have more help from work coming Saturday morning. People are so nice. My faith in the goodness of people really has been renewed lately. The PC and router/modem placement is my daughter's job. I'll be off line on Friday and hopefully back up in the new place on Saturday evening. The phone company and my dauaghter's computer skills willing. Random moving happening: I went to the local ABC store (state liquor store for those of you not in NC) and got tons of boxes. They are great for glasses and dishes as they are divided in half. First thing I saw was 2 boxes for Firefly Flavored Vodka from a distillery in South Carolina. I'd heard about it online but I hadn't seen any. I just had to take those two boxes and I think I'll keep them. I'm such a hopeless Browncoat.

It Really sucks theres no e-mail notification system in the Blue Sun Room. And why is it called that? Do evil corporations write fanfiction? If they do, is it good fanfiction, or crappy shit?

Ni hao! You've done right by me, mostly, so I come to you with a question. What Firefly costume should I work on next. I have TV and movie Kaylee, Simon, a crappy River, Inara, and of course the Ariel EMTs. What next?
