I was watching safe when I realised that seeing Firefly on the air again made me feel good even though it's only repeats, anyone else feel that way today?

honestly, its getting to where it's almost not worth it to convert new 'coats, simply 'cause then you have to go through the same 'proccess'- y'know, watch the series through, poke around on the dvd for a few hours trying to find the hidden episodes after OiS, because you're *sure* they're there, because, c'mon, why wouldn't they be? anyway, where this is all comming from is i converted my paretns recently- when i first got into ff they treated it like any other interest/obsession of mine, but then i dragged them along to serenity a cuple times (my dad when it was in theaters, and both to a charity screening), and they wanted to watch the series. so i watch it w/ them, and now bam, my mom's knitting herself a jayne hat and my dad's commisioned a 'leaf-on-wind' shirt. and horribly, i have to watch them go through the same proccess we all did- my dad expresses, many times a day, how he just doesnt understand how it wasnt an immediate hit, my mom's taken to saying shiny (although to be fare, she did that a little already just because i use it so much), and they've both asked me who they should write to to get it back. it's great to get new 'coats, thus increasing the chances of getting it back, but its so painful!

Hey all I know I've been away for a long time. My weekends are usually catch up time with all my Internet stuff, so I spend a few hours reading the week's fanfics. Don't ask me when the next chapter of YCGHA will be up. I don't even know. For those wondering what I've been up to, I've been up in Wadena, the hometown of Pamela Wallin, for the last six weeks with the utilities gang with C.P. Rail. I work Mon-Thursday and work every second Friday, so I do roughly about 30 hours of overtime per two weeks. I have no internet connection, so I spend like four hours every Thursday or Friday checking my internet. And by the end of the day, I'm so sweaty and worn out after 13 hours a day that I just shower, zone out in front of tv and sleep. But this week was actually a good week for me. Because this was the last week of being in Wadena. Now, we're being transferred to Unity, which is cool because my Grandpa lives there. So it'll be nice to go there every night to check my Internet and have a home cooked meal. This'll go on for the next six weeks or so. So instead of driving two hours every Sunday, Thursday and second Friday, it'll be five. The next three weekends i'll be here in Regina, but after that I think I'll just go to Edmonton and hit up some relatives for a couch to sleep on. Anyone know if Nate Fillion will be there round that time. I know it's unlikely, but hey. I'll be frequenting comic shops, so you never know. And hopefully when I'm driving home on August 24th for the last time, I'll have double what I have in my account now so that when I go back to school on the 5th of Sept (two days after my 21st b-day, yay), work will be a luxury for me. At least until I graduate and have to enter the real world *shudder* I gotta go. PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION is finally here in Regina and starts in ten min. Please comment.
