I must admit, I am a little jealous of everyone who got to go to Flanvention. They have to have one in NYC, I can't get all the way to CA. But, I did get to meet the darling Alan Tudyk at the stage door of [i]Spamalot[/i] on Nov. 30 (the day that will go down as the day I found out wishing on shooting stars works.) What a sweetheart he is! Maybe next year :smile:

so i am uploading some of my artwork today, that is if i can get my scanner to cooperate with me. anyway i am excited that the DVD comes out soon. as you could tell i like drawing ships so there are a lot of new classes of ships for me to draw. i am trying to save money to buy the RPG book. not to play the RPG but as a reference guide. i have heard many good thing about it not only being for RPGers. (had a bad experience with D&D when i was younger, it seemed that when every i showed up no one else did. that is what got me into believing in conspiracy theories.) anyway i have found this to be relaxing to draw ships. i might make up a fanfic about one of them because i kind of like the way it looks. my second alliance cruiser picture is what i am talking about . any comment just put in the comment box Swabbie

Well, I've just spent me two days I'd just as soon like to forget... had a hell of a weekend though, at a friend's x-mas party... I'd almost think the sick was related to the drink, if it weren't for the more'n 24 hours between the end of one and the start of t'other... last two days have had me lain out on my back, not even able to crawl to my computer to read or post anything... an' I sure as hell h'ain't been gettin' no writin' done, tha's fersure... Well, my cognisence is slowly returnin', and i'll be headin' back into work tommorrow, lesen' things get aweful worse again over night... till then, if there's a shepherd amongst y'all, you might want to spare a kind thought my way an' ease me outta this horrible flu like affliction... then maybe I can get back to writin'... things seem to be slowin' down round these parts as the holiday season approaches... gotta keep at my part... do my best.. ah gorram it, I'm ramblin' again.. best be gettin' back into bed... till later...

on a visit to the cinema with your folks anyway... (BTW -spoiler alert, not much of one, as everybody probably knows the plot of the Chronicals of Narnia anyway, but its now up to you) It was the bit where Peter is fighting Maugrim, the Queens henchman, and Aslan calls the others off, and says something along the lines of 'no, this is something Peter has to do for himself...' My inner idiot took over at that point and spouted out (yes, you guessed it) 'no! no its not! Earning me a smack around the head from the parents, and another when I yelled child abuse. I think it was the final straw after all my uncontrollable giggling whenever Peter pointed a sword at anyone, something about as natural and threatening as Jayne composing and reading aloud love sonnets... Apart, or maybe bacause of that (P's fight with the Queen is spectacular) bloody good film, Including the soundtrack, if we do get a sequel, I think Narnia's composer would do a fab job with Firefly's existing themes and motifs. As an aside, I'm always hearing this stuff about Narnia as an allegory for christianity, Aslan as a christ-like figure and whatnot. It's interesting to note, that though everyone is fighting for the good and evil sides, and good wins, at the end of the day, lives are restored, injuries healed and life continues in bliss thanks to 'old lore' and the gift of a pagan icon.
