All Good Things....
Thursday, 11 August 2005 05:32:21

OK, so I'd planned to start posting "Heart & Soul," a follow-up to "Point of No Return" featuring Inara and Shepherd Book, by the middle of this month. However, it doesn't look like that's going to happen; at least not by that time. Work has been the primary obstacle in keeping me from finishing the story. I'm working on a new TV series, and that's what keeps me from working further. I'm going on vacation in September, and after I get back I'll be gathering cast and crew for a short movie project. So, that's a lot of stuff going on. Way it's looking it'll be after the BDM is released before I get the space to work on a new fic. Sorry! But perhaps this is just as well...By then I'll be even more inspired. I appreciate you guys' patience; hopefully I won't disappoint you when "H&S" is finally posted.

My Big Video Idea 2

I've started procuring video clips. Plus, a very nice person gave me some music video ideas so I can make them to experiment with Ulead. We'll see how that goes.

Morning

I have always found morning enjoyable. Coffee, my cat running amok, the silence from my annoying neighbors. Now I sit here with my Min-Wheats staring me down, daring me to eat them. In this battle of wits, I will win. I know I will. Those blasted mini-wheats do not stand a chance versus my stomach. Now it is almost time for me to hit the showers. Ugh. That means the actual start of the day, not just screwing around on the gorram internet. I can say gorram and people here know what that means. That is awesomeness defined. Anyhow, until next time fellow travelers.

Aww, little girls.

If only I knew how or where to post a recording, I'd let you here my daughter and neice (6 & 4) singing the Firefly theme. My daughter has it nearly by heart, and now It is too cute hear her trying to teath the four year old. She tends to see it all mixed up.

Frustrations.

So, the thing I've spent the last 3 hrs working on just went all wonky and I tried to save it and close out of the program, but when I reopened the file, it hadn't saved half the stuff I'd done (this is a common occurrence on our network. No matter how much I complain, no one seems to be able to fix it.) So now I have to go back and redo everything I spent all morning doing. I was so upset I got up, slammed my office door behind me and went in the library and had a right little (internal) temper tantrum and a good cry. Part of my extreme frustration is that I've had very little sleep all week and I'm just exhausted and cranky. And, as icing on my bitter little cake, I broke one of the shells off my cute shell bracelet when I slammed my office door, which serves me right for losing my temper. I think I'll go eat an early lunch and then come back to this, or else I'm liable to put my letter opener through my monitor.
