Tuesday, 11 January 2005 02:28:56

Actually, I think I'm the only one that calls me that. I do have a talent for it though, one that I will take with me to the grave. The grave, I say! [b]The grave!!!!!! I have a job interview on Wednesday morning. I am excited, but so very nervous! I really need this job. More than that I really want this job. I mean imagine getting paid to play with kids all day long. I know some may think me insane, and it's true, I am very much so... However, I already do this on a part time basis at a day care and love it! So, I have the experience (lots and lots of it), but I always get so freaked out during interviews and I DO NOT want to mess up this opportunity. The best part is if I happen to get it, I can escape this hell that is also known as the graveyard shift. So, I need advice, how can I get through this interview without puking (which I am pretty sure would not be impressive) and generally screwing it all up?

Not Enough, In My Book
Tuesday, 11 January 2005 06:33:19

Yes, it's nerdy. And yes, most of them suck. And no, mine is probably not a whole damn lot better than that whole school of Terribly Fangrrl Silly Quizzes. But I decided there were not enough, and so I made a selector. This allowed me to not have to put 9 answers to every question in very obvious ways so that you really knew exactly who you were responding as in every individual question, which is the thing that irks me the most about the general population of quizzes. So. Here is my contribution, enjoy.

Im laughing, and I cant stop. If you want to know why....click here

Hello to all and a fanfic crossover challenge for everybody interested
Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:34:31

Hello all! I'm new to fireflyfans.net but I've been a fan of the show since the first episode aired on Fox (the morons who deliberately killed the show). I've known about this site for awhile and periodically check in to find about the movie, so I was saddened to see it pushed back but am still really excited about the fact that it is in fact coming out! But mainly I joined today so I could post a fanfic challenge to all the people who write Firefly fanfics. I don't write anything myself (I wouldn't inflict such horrors on y'all!), but I do love to read it, and I especially enjoy the mental juggling that must occur for a truly good crossover fanfic to really thrive. Some friends of mine over at livejournal who are fans of both Firefly and Smallville and who also enjoy good crossover fanfics think it would be awesome if anyone out there who writes Firefly fanfic who loves Firefly and also the show Smallville would favor us with a crossover fic or three. We've seen (and loved) other crossover fics from Joss-universes with SM but have never heard of one from the Firefly world and think that just needs to be remedied. So what do y'all say? Any brave, intrepid souls out there familiar with both shows who'd be willing to give a crossover fic a whack? Please let me know here or run by and post to me at my livejournal page (go to

Hi-larity - and new fireflyfans

Cheers, young lady, for keeping my place. Only three more days of work to go... [edited] then they gave me 800 envelopes to fill and send out, and all that goodwill evaporated. BUT! proof that there is karma [edited] Plus - last night I met 6 new people, who had not only heard of Firefly, but loved it - and also understood the d'Artagnan obsession. It's not often that happens. It would be in my last week in this city though. If I didn't still have 300 of those envelopes to go, things would be going quite well...

bored now
Tuesday, 11 January 2005 18:08:59

I found myself really wanting to write in my blog today. However, due to the complete lack of drama in my life right now, I have nothing to write about. I decided to start watching the Highlander show in its entirety starting with Season 1, disc 1. What can I say? I always was a sucker for Adrian Paul's big brown eyes. He's so dreamy...Not as dreamy as Fillion of course...ahem. Anyway, so now I'm bored. I'm actually looking forward to school starting. To JPT: Ashampbanyanya!
