Well i sure have.. well one guy. He was in the Serenity.. For like..most of the movie.I read in the RPG book that Operatives are independent contractors. So,I was thinking if doing a costume based on an Alliance uniform but I have hit a dead end. I have the books of the show and the Serenity mag.Now if only i could get some screencaps of the Movie (i have some of alliance from the show. but not the movie)i can perhaps see more of what he was wearing? Anyone has any suggestions? or links to Alliance costumes...I am really stuck right now edit: AKA i need COSTUME help...Any costume suggestions?

Well my fellow browncoats it has been a long spell since my last post and i have had quite a few travels and troubles and kindnesses since i was last by. Lets see first to the travels I got my licence and loaded up my car with a crew of two a navigator my mate Sutton and a loader Wellings. We headed out first to see an old friend (though i have to admit at times it's like dealing with Patience "Hmmm i do believe she's planning to shoot me). However this leg of the journey went quite well. The we all set off towards my sister just an hour and ahalf out from Surfers Paradise and stayed around a few days then we travelled to Surfers Paradise and i hid out at my friend Lopez's house for two days. This was the part of the trip which took the most coin from me. Drinking, shooting, laughing and clubs of moderate repute. Then i dragged my sorry somewhat broke self back down the coast toward home. Stayed a night in a hotel that looked like Ned Kelly probably robbed at some point. Great trip and Lopez sent me a wave saying i should drop back in later this year and spend some more money not exactly a hard task these days. Then there was a slight break of two days in which i sat a test to get into university. Then i took off to Bali and spent two weeks hanging out on the beach watching sun sets and getting massages and eating fruit on the beach. Oh it's a hard life aint it just. then i came back home and found i had been accepted into University studying a double degree in teaching. With hopes of being a history teacher. On the Artistic front I wrote the first couple of chapters for a fantasy book 'The Chronicles of Azuriath'. Also i have completed on chapter and got into the second chapter of my big Firefly fan novel i'll even give you the current title i'm working it under Firefly: Shadows of the War. Probably shouldn't be teasing it as it is realistically a long ways off yet getting either of them published. However a big push will come soon as one of my electives at uni is creative writing. Next being the jack of all trades (master of none) i also started working on my old comics [IMG]

So, first up, I'm really glad everyone seemed to like the "Lost Art" series...it took a long time to get bits right and I was making little adjustments as I went, based on some of your suggestions. Thanks! Now, here are some answers to a few of the questions... Would Jayne have that many spelling/grammar errors in his letter to his Ma? Yes. Did you miss how he struggled over words when reading her letter out loud in "The Message?" And, on top of that, I can always defend it with "You Would Not Believe The Spelling & Grammar Errors I Come Across In My Regular 9-To-5 Job, And If They Can Do [i]THAT[/i], Jayne Would Do His." Next, I didn't technically give Inara a sister. I mean, I sorta did, by signing it "Your loving sister," but at the same time, I think the Companions could easily refer to each other as "sisters," like sororities or geishas...I refer to several of my female friends as my "other sisters," and I do have a biological sister. There are times in women's lives where they feel a sisterhood worthy of note. But, if you want to take it as Inara has a sister, then...um...sure. I gave her a sister. :smile: Finally, though, just thanks to everyone who read and responded. I try to write things people get excited to read and...yay! It worked this time!!! The whole concept only started because I was in the midst of writing a letter (yes, a real-live-letter, written on paper with a pen and EVERYTHING!!) to my brother and got distracted, then remembered BlueEyedBrigadier wondered what happened when Simon wrote to his folks, as Kaylee suggested at the end of my previous series, and then wondered what a stranger would think if he/she found one of my random letters by itself and...so, then I had River's letter and Inara's off-hand comment about snakes...and suddenly I was sitting in front of my computer typing out bits and pieces and... Well, you know the rest. And, yes, I did finish the letter to my brother and actually spent $.39 (US) to mail it JUST BEFORE the price of stamps went up...again... So...yeah. Thanks again for reading. I'll try to keep up to the expectations, at least. I write for you...and to ease the story build-up in my head.

We need to make that song, maybe we'll win an Oscar. Um, anyway, I was thinking that I need to make something new to put up for my Blue Sun stuff. But I'm going to China at the end of the month, I'm designing a website (www.tailiinlala.com), and I'm trying to brush up on the language. That got me to thinking about what a heavy load we Browncoats have to take up. Just being a true fan requires you to post on at least three different message boards everyday. And if not everyday, at least every other day. This website, the one over at scifi, and the one at Universal. Not to mention the new one for that HD channel. Next, you've got any fan videos you've got, shindigs, Can't Stop the Serenity viewings, other random cons where stuff is going down, and keeping up with your life in general. Then following that, you've got to watch Serenity every couple of weeks, and random episodes in between, you know, just to keep it fresh. And I could watch Objects in Space 100 times and keep finding new stuff. So, basically, what you're dealing with is a complete dedication to the craft. Don't get me wrong, I love being a Browncoat, and while I took a short hiatus, I'm definitely dedicated to the cause. Speaking of which, it's another whole kettle of fish because our show is currently off the air, we have to keep it alive through our willpower alone. There are no new episodes for us to talk about, no new happenings. Then our souls are crushed mercilessly by execs who simply will not heed our cries for A)Mercy or B)The sweet, sweet release of death. Okay, that last part was a little overboard. But I guess the point that I'm trying to make is, it's hard out here for a Browncoat.

I have tried various approaches to placeing the links to other web sites in my threads with no success. Would somebody give me a detailed description, possibly with graphic displays, of the proper procedures to create these links. Thanks in Advance; Your computer illiterate poster. Traveler
