GO CANADA GO!
Monday, 01 March 2010 00:39:11

I am so proud right now. More golds then any other country in the world in any winter olympics and third over all in the medal count. There were so many skeptics who thought we wouldn't win any golds. So gorram proud to be Canadian, eh? ^__^

Puppies and new boots
Monday, 01 March 2010 15:10:48

Oh yeah, I'm easily amused. Give me a mess o'puppies and I can be entertained for hours before we all pass out together in a pile. I don't care if I get covered with doggie slobbers and fur. I'm all scratched up from their sharp little claws. They can do what they want to me, and they know it. Just don't chew on my gorram boots (which have blessed me with a blister the size of a 6th toe, BTW). Had to swat a couple of'em off, but overall they are very well behaved. I've spoiled them horribly, but I am weak in the face of cuteness. Always have been. Preacher was laughing at me for bristling when she scolded one of them. Admittedly, he needed scoldin'. He was bein' bad. I just didn't like the tone she was using, that she fussed at him. I didn't say nothin', it aint my place, but she could tell I didn't like it. I am, admittedly, in their thrall completely at this point. I'm gonna miss them when I leave. Preacher mom and her husband (and the dogs!) have been like family to us over the last three months. She's sure done enough to keep me out of trouble! I'll be keeping in touch, but it's not the same. I sure as hell won't miss my erstwhile employers--can't wait to get shy of them. But it hasn't been all bad here. I always get a little sentimental when it's time to go, but it is still time to go. I'm ready to move on to bigger and better. There's more out there in the 'verse that needs seein' and doin'--and there ain't no time like the present. I should know for sure where I'm gonna end up by Friday, and I'll be there by Monday. Livin' the dream, man. Livin' the dream.
