Mule and Hovermule

No, I haven't used my science prowess to recreate real life versions, I'd need to level up my engineering a little for that (soon!).

I've worked through some writer's block, and I've been taking the bus home at night so I even have time to work on my story. But as I'm writing a Kaylee section, all the modern day equivalent parts in mind I'm going to need, I realized I don't know if the mule and hovermule use gas-based combustion engines.

Also, I'm assuming the hovermule works via the same kind of grav screening Serenity uses, but I might be wrong.

I can look this stuff up when I get home in my RPG manual, but I'd really like to not have to waste that ride. Anyone know?
