If you like seeing the supernatural getting is ass kicked, and if you love humor, then I highly suggest seeing Shawn of the Dead! (Rated R, Now Playing) I saw it yesterday evening, and it was about the funniest movie I’ve ever seen. If you don’t know what the movie is, then I’ll give you a basic synopsis of it. Englishman Shawn goes through life day by day with nothing really exciting happening. He has girl problem, his loser friend Ed is trashing Shawn’s place (and life), and his life is going no where. Then, a strange Virus starts turning the people around Shawn and Ed into zombies! He and Ed must pick up his girlfriend and mom, and get to the safest place in town; the local pub. Thrills and spills ensue. A common thread between Shawn of the Dead, and Firefly, is that even the most down to earth people can become BDH’s. I recommend this movie to anyone and everyone (Who doesn’t mind a good old fashioned Horror/slasher/comedy film)!iRiver
