More Chinese Customs

So I was digging around in traditional customs of different cultures again, and found Kaylee's passenger-welcoming-outfit interesting. Specifically her hair.

It totally fits Kaylee, because the twin buns on her head is a sign of a marriageable young woman which in-Verse translates to anything relating to that idea.

Not that she's looking for anything in that line. ha.

Good thing Simon was wearing his protecto-ray glasses. Or the writers would have had one less fun awkward relationship to write.

I wonder if they knew or just thought it would be a cute and vaguely asianesque hybrid hairstyle.

Not to be confused with the Japanese version, which is very young girls this way.
