When it rains it pours...

After months of nothing... I was hired for a part time job last week and today, I get a call for an interview for a Job I really want. Then I got an e-mail from a buddy who needs a relief driver for the Helicopter company he works for.If I had a Commercial Driver's license, I'd be all over that one.
I mean, a job where I can combine three of my previous careers along with paid travel all over the USA? What's not to like?
I mean $40 a day per deim, overtime after 8 hours even for travel days, all travel and hotels paid for, driving a one ton truck carrying Jet Fuel (Hence the need for the CDL) Chasing Helitac crews from one forest fire to another...
Thing is, I don't have a CDL or the $3,000 I need to get one.
Oh well.
The interview I'm scheduled combines two of my previous careers. Fire Service and Sales. If I were to get it, I'd be a sales and service tech for a fire extinguisher company.
Until Gordy e-mailed me about the Relief Driver slot, The service tech was my first choice.
Combined with the Part Time Job I landed (They know I'm still looking for full time work) At least something is going right.
