Standalones

-Just a random rant brought on by boredom-

I like my standalone fics better than my series fics. In a series, there's always a grander purpose, it's always leading up to something, and that's great and all, but it makes the tone a bit different. The standalones, on the other hand, are just brief insights into the character's mind or feelings... and I don't know, they just seem better to me lol. I've been trying to bring some of the voice I put into my standalones into my series, and I hope it's working. The other thing might be that I tend to pick one moment and write about it in my standalones, and my series are obviously about a larger period of time. Anyway, that's just my rant lol.
