Beijing 2008

I have returned from my Educational/Cultural exchange trip to China. Our group was able to visit four new schools in rural China along the Yangtze River and raise funds that will directly go to students for supplies and programs. Yeah!

China proved to be a beautiful engrossing country filled with warm and genuinely friendly people. The dragon has definitely awoken as they prepare for their August Olympic debut.

And on a personal note, I worked with a Tai Chi Master and passed a test and received a certificate of completion for the first 6 movements. And my hubby met Condoleezza Rice in our hotel lobby, where he went for a cold beer, as we were staying at the same hotel in Beijing. She was there for photos at the quake site.

Anyway, it's good to be home after traveling so far away. I missed my own kids and my kitties and my house, but I made new friends that made the journey worthwhile. I won't forget them and plan on returning one day.
