Shindiggery

I find myself obsessed with details of throwing a Shindig which will meet local Browncoat expectations. My first attempt last fall was hardly what I would call a success. But, then I got much more organized and had our firs "real" Shindig on May 8, 2008. It went splendidly. People who were there asked for another. People who missed it promised to show. I got compliments on how well it ran and the organization of it, so how can the next one not be well-planned?
So many details: decorations, food (including fresh bao, tea and dumplings, Blue Sun cola, apples without grenades and strawberries, strawberries and more strawberries!) synchronizing my PowerPoint trivia game with proper cuts from the sound track, gauging the level of trivia difficulty and awarding prizes. Whew!
It's a great way to spend a holiday weekend.
