Jennifer's driving lesson update

I'm going to start doing a weekly update on how my driving lessons are going.

Last week didn't go so well, I panicked at a roundabout and hit someone's wing mirror, so this week my instructor had me going over the basics.

It didn't go too badly. The first moving off was a but jerky but i was on a hill, but every other were perfect.

My gear changes were also perfect (I like changing gears, it's easy). I'm also getting slightly more confident. The reason why i hit the wing mirror last week was because I was concentrating on the cars instead of the gaps in between the cars, so this week I concentrated on the gaps and didn't hit anything.

One problem I did have this week was stopping. The instructor had me stop in the same place three times; the first time I was too close to the kerb, the second time I forgot to putt he clutch down and then I stalled the car and it wasn't until the third time that I managed it successfully.

There are two things that annoy me when driving:
1. three specific corners, the one near my house which is really tight and the other which is in Thornley because the turn is right on the corner and the one at Vincent's corner, near my house; again cos the corners are so tight

2. idiotic drivers. There was one woman who braked in the middle of the road for no reason and then sped up again and another driver overtook me on a hill.
