Re: my last blog and a plea

In my last blog, I said that my brother is going back to Iraq, and I didn’t want anyone leaving any comments that were anti-Iraqi war.

Then I just realized something: I left a blog on a site about a show where two of the main characters are war veterans. This is perhaps one of the last places you’d find someone who was anti-Iraqi war! LOL!

I’m sorry if I offended anybody.

Now, I’m not going to get political here. I have my opinions about the war, and I’m not going to start now. But for those of you are anti-Iraqi war (if you’re here), I’m going to ask something of you. If you like getting into political discussions (which is okay, as it’s something people enjoy doing and you have the right to do it), please be sensitive to the people around you. The person standing next to you may have a child/spouse/sibling/other close relative/lover/friend/etc. overseas right now. That person next to you is constantly worrying about the person in the “sandbox”. They don’t know if they will ever see that person alive again. It is a heartache they have to carry for at least a year. They love that person dearly over in the Iraqi desert right now, and--chances are--they don’t want to hear your political opinions because it makes the pain worse. So, whatever you do, please be responsible about your opinions.
