TV sucks

I know I am preaching to the choir on this one, but seriously, I hate TV, it's makin' us stupid.

I dont' know how many shows I have been invested in that have been canned in favor of such soaring excellence as oh, another bachelor installment, or smarter than a fifth grader, or ARMY WIVES.

That last one is what I want to rant about. I can't say it isn't well written, I don't know, I have only seen one episode, but what gets me is that people are going to think ill of me, because of the way they portray a military wife on that show. I am not a skank, nor am I white trash, or a drunk, a door mat, or a gossip. Okay, well, sometimes I like a little gossip, but hey, I'm trying ;D.

I don't cheat on my husband because he is deployed. (He isn't right now) I know more women who are cheated on by their deployed husbands than the opposite.

Being married to the military if you will, is hard. The Marine's say "we didn't issue you a family" and brush people off. That is not always the way we are treated, but it does happen. And how sad is this...the army post I live on has it's own WIC clinic? Yoo hoo! COngress, can we get a pay raise for the men and women who risk their lives to save ours?

Right, so all this boils down to the fact that I hate the way lifetime TV is portraying a military spouse, because of it, I have decided to take a little break from the fan fic writing and try my best to work on a little book. I want to write what it's like to be a real military spouse. Now, it's not as if this sucker will be a best seller, well mostly because, it can be really boring and lacking in drama, but I wanted to thank you all who have commented and encouraged my writing here. It's given me the courage to go and do some good in the real world.

PS I will finish posting Trouble in a Skirt, since it's all written and is bein' beta'd so yea, that story will finish, promise!
