Disappointment

I told my mother today about my dream to act and to move to NYC and try to follow my dream. She didn't want to outright say don't do that but she pretty much said everything she could to imply that I'd never be able to make it.

I didn't choose acting - it choose me. I don't feel at home anywhere other than the stage. I'm not saying that I love the spotlight. It's more of the I'm a totally different person when I'm performing. I can escape everything going on in my life and make other people smile.

The only way I can keep myself going right now is to look to those role models I have. I read Gina Torres's interviews and I swear it is like I could have written them. I need to be an actress.. I don't care if I'm dirt poor living on the streets of NYC... I'm going after my dream
