And apparently it only cost £312.43 after deductions - a bargain! (That means I got my first ever paycheck in the mail today.)

Yes! I, Bellona, have fallen from the noble ranks of the slackers and joined the world of work! True, I'm only a lowly part-time cashier in a betting shop. And I'm treated like a dogsbody because I'm a student. And I have to get up at 8 o'clock some days (hey, I'm a teenager - if it's still light out, it's early!). But, I don't have to work with or serve anyone I know from school and that's ALWAYS a good thing.

Admittedly, I would like something more challenging than sitting on my rear, tapping buttons and counting change all day. But you take what you can get, right?
