Life Onboard Serenity: An FFF.net RPG

Well, I think this monstrously clever title deserves a bit of explanation:
Way back there was a thing called Come To The Galley, a sort of welcoming thread here at FFF.net. It was set in Serenity, which, in addition to her regular crew, was populated by a tabby, a (floral)bunny, a Radar system, a guy named RocketJock, and was the site of daily and nightly speaks and goings-on. A man named GrimJack and a woman named Flywithmecaptn presided, although back then it was quite willy-nilly, but not as willy-nilly as it would come to be.
But then, something happened, something that could be construed as bad, something that could be construed as awful, but something that could also be construed as a bit of good. I decided to get ‘welcomed,’ with the aid of one of my close personal friends. I started out as a stowaway speaking of a love bot, and met my end at the hands of said love bot. Before I was ‘killed,’ however, my antics dissuaded people from ever returning to Come To The Galley. I didn’t notice, and at the time, I didn’t care.
So, I decided I should return and troll about a bit more. Grabbing the thread and beating it to my own drum, I forced it to take a strange direction. This forcing was almost stopped, but nobody had the heart to give me a toss. So came the true transformation of Come To The Galley into Life Onboard Serenity, I think the 3rd FFF.net based RPG. Then came the adventuring, which I vainly tried to center around my own little fusion of my character and myself, thankfully often refuted by a loved few. The threads lasted until well after my 14th birthday
A few months ago, the threads ended. I don’t know why, I don’t know precisely when, but it did. After LOS was gone, I realized how much they mattered to me. I tried other role-plays, my favorite creative outlet (both virtual and physical) but nothing had the raw spark that LOS had. It was more about the camaraderie than the story, I think, and I managed to earn redemption for unwittingly ruining a nice comfortable welcome thread, but helped create something different and fun. We were the LOS crew, myself, DrPain, SameErtia, Flywithmecaptn, JRC, JTTF, GWWAFFOHO, Bigwolf18, Experiment62, Shipscat…and there were others that I can’t remember at this time.
What I’m getting towards is that I want the crew back. I miss it, as you could hopefully draw from the above text. So, this thread is the start of Life Onboard Serenity: Season 2. In a last-ditch attempt to get it back, I’m starting this blog for the people looking for a loose, easy, and tolerant RPG, conveniently located at the Firefly hotspot of the internet. If you wanna join up, or rejoin, then leave something here, an application, a thumbs up, anything. I’m gonna check up on this entry at the end of June, and if it’s got enough, then come on in for Season 2. If not…then I guess it is time to say goodbye.
