Copper pipe and duct tape save my computer chair

A while ago my I didn't like how stiff my computer chair was with how it leaned back. So, I tried to loosen it. Unfortunately, I loosened it too much. The chair leaned back for certain. But, way too much. And when I tried to tighten it... it didn't work. I tried pushing things in, etc and nothing.

So, for the longest time, if I sat in the chair normally, I was at about a 45 degree angle. Hardly the best position for working at my computer.

Enter the copper pipe and duct tape.

Of course for something to lean back it has to pivot on something. And there was enough room there to shove something in there. Say a copper pipe. But, that pipe needs to be held in place to make sure that I don't have a scary fall back at some point. Say by duct tape.

So, now there's very little play in the leaning of my chair. Which is fine b/c my posture pretty much needs it.

Now, if I only find something to put on the arms so there's some padding on them...
