13 to 15: Time Spent, If Not All Well

ALERT: SELF-CENTERED, SELF-INVOLVED, OVER-MUSED BLOG IN IMMEDIATE PROXIMITY. OPTION A IS TO ABANDON THE RIDE IMMEDIATELY, WHILE OPTION B IS TO KEEP YOUR HANDS AND FEET INSIDE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. MANAGEMENT ADVISES YOU SELECT OPTION A.Well now. Looks like I've reached some kind of milestone in my insignificant speck of a life (I'm speaking cosmically, so no worries 'bout that comment.).
A while ago, I watched a TV show. This TV show entranced me, drew me in, and swallowed me forever. 'Forever' being since that dark January night. I think you can all figure what that TV show was called. But, that isn't exactly what I'm getting t'wards here.
Now, when I joined up in the Browncoat ranks, I was a wee li'l bastard in the middle of his 8th year in jr. high, clocking in the years spent on this microcosmic marble at 13. Then, there came 14 few months later. More'n a few, actually. I considered changing me alias, but it t'was too much trouble. (I'm getting to the point soon, promise.)
So, now my birthday is closing up, that special day. I'd say it's even more special because my birthday is the 15th, and I'll be turning 15, but I guess that has no meaning really. The date, not the day itself.
What I'm aiming for in this blog is just to show how weird time is, how watery it is. Sometimes it can jam up until something comes along and shatters the dam, like a silt buildup upriver or something. Then, it flows free and raging, taking you down a river whose bends you don't see coming. I've seen some strange stuff in my short years, a result of my companion's and occasionally messed-up situations, had not one, but TWO incredibly scragged 'adventures' in Quebec, (the first one involving a drug-ridden hotel infested by me and my fellow students, the second involving me and a homeless guy with a bunch of damn dirty dogs) watched my brother collapse with appendicitis one morning last month, went to my grandfather's funeral two months ago, learned how to play the Grindhouse theme and adapt it with a touch cooler vibralto, and have finally done the Peppermint Twist, if you catch my drift, Jack.
Sense? No. Fun? Sometimes. I'm looking back, chilluns, and I'm seeing the light at the beginning of the tunnel. That weird 'nuff for ya?
