where's the repeat button?

Part of me hates firefly. I hate the fact that I can't have it anymore. I watched the "season" over the a week ago, with the exception of 'Objects in Space.' I hate that ep. Not because its bad, but for the simple fact that it means it's over. I find it depressing. Part of me misses the whole "routine" of Television. Although, I feel more productive now, than ever, I miss the connection. The feeling of excitment found in a repetative aesthetic task. THIS in lies the problem. I used to work in production, why do I care? How can I an aware viewer get caught up in a tv show? And why do I feel that said show matters? As if the results of one episode will greatly impact my life in some shape or form. I look at a scene and I see the lights, the HMIs, the art department, the set; and yet somehow, I don't care. I should have read a book.I sound pompous.
