Dude, Dalai, pass the popcorn.

Been a strange morning. Seems one of "those" dreams pierced the curtain of night and poked my third eye.

I got to hang with the successor of the current Dalai Lama. Not really sure how the whole thing works, but isn't the next one pretty much the old one in new form?

Anyhoo I come home in the dream and find him sitting quietly in the living room. I thought he was no older than fourteen but I find out later he's about twenty. Nothing couspicuously profound happens.

So we watch a few movies (Rio Grande, White Christmas, and some awesome noir-ish flick that I've never seen before) and hang out like old friends. After the movies over tea there is some light discussion. He tells me he grew up with little money but never remembers being hungry. His parents had died when he was very young but never remembers being lonely. He'd been surrounded by violence but never felt despair. The one thing that really touched me was that he had only wept out of joy, never in sadness.

Near the end he takes my hand and says nothing, yet I hear him tell me to forgive myself. I close my eyes and open them to see a long line of people in front of me leading to a very large tent in the distance. The people in front of me are wearing various colored robes in all different manners. A funny detail is the three guys in front of me. They are native peoples from different places. They all look awkward in their robes and are either really happy or very drunk. At first I ignore them but eventually I get to talkin' to them, then the people in front of them, and soon we have a large circle or group of people just talking. Soon there is no line. We all stand halfway around the tent laughing and sharing stories, passing snacks and drinks, a few people dance and others play games. All different people of all different places.

That's all I have.

There are so many other details that are slowly slipping away. That in itself makes it harder to apply anything I felt or learned. I can never have that dream again. I may even forget that I even had the dream in a short while. This leaves me with alot of mixed feelings and unanswered questions.

Not even sure how to proceed from here.
