Well, here we are...

Well, the house hunt paid off. We have one lined up, and we hope to be in by Xmas. *cue hollow laugh* This does mean that my life is being doled out into cardboard boxes. My Firefly things (dvds, notebooks, reference materials) are all in one box by the desk - it's kind of an emergency kit thing, the way you don't pack the tea-bags and the kettle on move day. Odd how much you can do without when you can't get to it on a day to day basis.

What with the unsettled state, it's making it difficult to actually sit and write. I'm a chapter or so off the end of my present fic. But I'm drafting the next one in advance, so I don't get caught by circumstance again. Hopefully, once I move, I will have a dedicated office. (Husband is naturally concerned as to the decor. I'm thinkin' yellow, with little stencilled vines round the door, mebbe a shingle and some little lights. The homey look... It's either that, or a big-ass gunrack and some dodgy chinese ideograms.)

So...blessings at Samhain to all my buds out there. If I can't get on-line at home, I can at least scan my mail at work (in a covert fashion) so bring me news and gossip from your corners of the 'Verse. It's getting a mite cold and lonely out here in the Black.
