Did you ever stop to think..... and forget to start again?

Happens to me all the time. Happened the other day, as I'm pondering the Magnificence of Joss Whedon. Yes, we know his credited work-- Firefly, Angel, Buffy, those episodes of Roseanne we can't remember.

But I'm paused, the other day, and my thoughts turn to "Speed," which he allegedly completely rewrote-- dialogue, characters, plot. And... y'know...

Can't you just see Nathan Fillion in the Keanu Reeves part? I mean, imagine that movie with an ACTOR in the lead. Woah.

"Whatever it is... that you did... I'm sure that.. you're sorry," he says to the gun-toting bus passanger. Total Mal line, I swear.

"I should probably let you know... I don't have a drivers license," says Annie, or something like it. "It got suspended. (What for?) Speeding."

I could totally see Kaylee giving that line. Is it wrong I've started recasting ALL movies with Firefly cast members? I think I'm starting to obsess.

So you tell me: Dangerous Overindulgent Obsession, or Fun New Party Game?
