Al Gore is Cool

I know this sounds like the weirdest and most incendiary title for a blog, but for some reason I've been coming around to the realization that Al Gore is cool.

Maybe it was the way SOUTH PARK made fun of him in last weeks ep where he's obsessed with finding Manbearpig ("I'm totally serial") and everyone keeps saying "I kinda feel sorry for him. I don't think he has any friends." But this was trumped by him guesting twice on FUTURAMA as himself. He made a really great guest star. And I took a look at the trailer for that documentary of his about global warming, AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, and I can see it being like the next blockbuster doc.

I dunno. I really respect people who have a sense of humor about themselves and who consider it an honor if SOUTH PARK making fun of them and not an insult (which is why I think George Clooney is better than Tom Cruise).

I don't know what makes me, but Al Gore seems cool to me.
