Middlemen

To begin with my wife and I are in the process of adopting from China. We have an adopting agency that we are using but nearly all the paper work we are doing. Getting this paper certified or notarized, just why are we paying them! For some odd reason I believe that if you are paying someone to do a job for you, then they should do that job not you do it for them. I asked about that and was told they act as a middleman between China and us. A very high priced middleman, if you ask me.
I am not real happy about what I was told but for now I live with it.Maybe some day Wal-Mart will get into the adoption game and then we'll see what happens.
