i'm not sure, but i think i'm on the edge of my very first conversion...

watched Serenity with my sister and she squeaked when the operative was smacking mal about and sticking a dirty great sword into him, laughed at the funny bits and even figured out that the reavers were the bad guys. on her own. without me explaining. then again, even my mother knew that.

yeah, my mother knows that reavers are bad, simon is the cute doctor, mal is the captain, book's the old guy and the last time she saw jayne, he was a bad guy (we watched ariel last week). she was even disappointed when wash was killed and kept asking if the rest of the crew were going to die. that's my momma, morbid as hell and filthy-minded to boot.

i'm so proud *wipes tear from eye*

also, you should have seen my brother's faces light up when mal fired the anti-aircraft gun in the pilot episode.

the influence is spreading!!! it's like a virus or something, but a good one.
