I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to be writing in here.

Dear Diary: Today I watched "Shindig." It was funny. Ha ha.

What kind of crap is this? Today I want to discuss good writing, and why there isn't any.

Can anyone tell me the different between good writing and bad writing? I don't mean, writing you like and writing you don't like.... cuz, y'know, I HATE Britney Spears and everything she stands for, but the producers that write all her material... damn if her songs don't keep sticking in my head. THAT, my friends, is Devil Music.

Is it the dialogue? Is it clever plotting? Is it the JOKES? I see a similar vein in Joss and M. Night Shyamalan, and while David Mamet and Aaron Sorkin are totally different animals, there is a certainly prettiness about their prose.

Anyway, I'm not writing diary entries. Though I will consider porn, if someone asks.
