new show in Firefly verse?

here's the question.
if firefly / serenity as we know it never returns how open would ya'll be to a new show set in the same verse but with totally different characters?
a few examples:

- a series set during the unification war

- a series set around a main alliance character

- another 'historical' series maybe recounting the first signs of trouble on Miranda

or my favourite idea
- a series based around the hunts of jubal Early (especially the one with the miget arsonist)

although they would be different shows they could still perhaps have camoes for the original cast
