Oh man!

I just saw the "This is My Sister" Fan Vid (schmacky), and now I'm sobbing, and there's no power in the 'verse that can stop me. :( I am biting my lips in anguish; I shatter completely. I am in pain, and yet I embrace this pain as if it were my very mother. As if it were my little sister, I should say, of course; but I have no stomach for clever repartee now. My darling River! You trigger me in a way that makes a dilettante of the Fruity Oaty Bar.

Oh, that I could really melt like that! to just fade away, and merge with the Serenity boat itself, and be there for my River in the realest, most literal possible sense! O, I would not just adore the ground she walks on; instead, the ground she'd be walking on would be me! And I would so gently hold her afloat, always there, always supportive, never intrusive, ever watching over her.

And then, at night, I would dim all the lights for her, and steer her safely through the dark. And should I ever see her scared, cropped up against her bed, "2x2, hands of blue," I'd hum gently back: "We'll take care of each other. I'll knit for you."

Oh man, I could do a whole fanfic about this! teehee. And you know I'm not too fond of a "ship" involving River. But this one gives a whole new meaning to the term, doesn't it? :)
