Up and running

So there it is. The first chapter of 'New Prospects' is on the board, and the response so far has been pretty positive.

I guess I chose to start it at that particular point in time because after watching Serenity, I immediately wondered - what next? And I'm sure I wasn't alone.

We are, of course, our own worst critics. Reading back through it now, it feels a little static to me, a little formulaic, and I find myself wishing I'd spent more time ironing it, adding little details. I guess I'm akin to the proverbial artist, who touches up his canvas even as it hangs in the gallery.

At least I can take on board these observation and hone the next chapter accordingly. There's nothing like experience to sharpen the blades of ability.

Still flying, and that's enough.
