I just watched Serenity again. Man, do I love the characters from the Firefly series! They are so interesting, and the quips are classic Wheadon.

I think what I like best about Firefly/Serenity is that the characters have depth. Joss Wheadon didn't focus too much of the story (or even much for that matter) on the sci-fi stuff or the gadgets or the tech. His is really a character study of a ragtag team trying to make a living in the future.

My favorite character is really Mal (closely followed by River). My favorite scene of Mal's is in "Shindig" after he's beaten Atherton. God, I kept on laughing.

Anyway, want to keep this short. Just shouting out that I love Firefly and Serenity.
