happy birthday... to me

it's my birthday. i'm 29. it seems old to me, for having gotten nothing done. i had a mini-quarter-life crisis when i was 25, but i think i'm doing all right. i know, it sounds stupid to be worrying about turning 30 next year, because 30's not old. it's not. maybe i'm just being a self-absorbed freak, which is probably the case.
no, for reals, it's kind of cool. i've never been 29 before. it could be fun. who knows?
i get to go eat israeli food tonight, so whatever happens in the next year, i've got the "good beginning" thing covered.
that's it. just wanted to wish myself a happy birthday. yay me, for being born today. i think i share a birthday with j.r.r. tolkien. now that's a birthday to celebrate.
