A few minutes ago, an immature (probably 2nd year plummage) Bald Eagle flew by, just above treetop level!
Speaking of eagles, my first really good view of the season was a couple of months ago, while driving up to Cedar Rapids (Iowa, USA) to meet with some other fans to see Serenity yet-again. As I got near the Iowa River, I saw a large dark bird soaring... and it suddenly tilted such that the bright white head and tail were unmistakeable. I figured it was a good omen for an Iowa based mini shindig.
