NEW Fan

Hi -- I am a NEW "Firefly" Fan...and I'm a bit overwhelmed by it. I haven't been a show fan since I was a KID -- so maybe this is a form of midlife crisis???

Anyway -- one of my best friends turned me on to the series by letting me view her DVD set. My sons and I watched every episode in 4 days (we did have to get chores done!). We LOVED it! I couldn't believe it didn't even finish a whole season? I really wonder what the heck went on behind the scenes to cause that..and I am truly looking forward to the upcoming movie.

Anyway -- I loved it so much, I bought 6 sets for friends as gifts -- including one for myself!! I gave one to my 37 year old little brother who just underwent major open heart aortic surgery and has a long road to recovery. 1 week after watching the episodes for the first time, I watched EVERY episode with my brother AGAIN!! He loves it too. (I love MAL and he can't get enough of KAYLEE -- wait 'til he finds out how young she is!!! )

So - now I'm a member of a fan site, I bought 2 sets of the comic books, and I'm waiting with bated breath for the theatrical release!! AND -- hoping for several MORE after that!

Is this midlife-crisis?? I'll keep you posted.
