So, I tried to talk to someone yesterday but no-one was there. Thus I sent an email to my former potential supervisor soliciting advice.

I haven't got a reply from him yet, but the department chair got back to me. I think that my supervisor might have had something to do with that (he was the previous chair).

So, I have a meeting tommorow morning.

Although I have presidence on my side, the illogic of the whole situation makes me not willing to hold my breath on the matter.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
