About those 10 things I wanted...

But probably wasn't going to get (from the 4th of April):Quote:
1. Christopher Eccleston to issue a statement saying he realised he's made an enormous mistake and is signing up for two more seasons of Doctor Who.
2. Tony Blair to announce the election as being May 5th and every person in Parliament replies "Well, duh!"
3. The new Pope to take the name 'Pope George Ringo'
4. Confident of the new movie's success, Universal announces that work is already underway on Serenity's sequel.
5. Liverpool win the Champions League.
6. The BBC announce the release of the complete 'A Bit of Fry & Laurie' onto DVD.
7. A cure for glaucoma for dogs is released onto the mass market.
8. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith is reasonably good.
9. I wake up with Michael Bolton's singing voice (I will use it only for good).
10. Well, there's a £33m rollover jackpot on the Euromillions lottery...
Number 8 seems to be true (I'm seeing it tomorrow). Incredibly number 5 came true tonight. I mean really incredibly. I mean, the odds must have been staggeringly against it at half time. 3-0 down against one of the best teams in Europe. You just don't score three goals against them.
But we did. And then we triumphed. Unbelieveable, it really is.
So, two wishes have come true, four have passed (number 2 only sort of came true) so let's see how the other four do. That's not bad really though, making 10 improbable wishes and getting two of them.
Basically, I just wanted to celebrate Liverpool's victory tonight. Note for non-football followers (that's football as in the game where you mostly use your foot on the ball, see how that works?) - tonight was the Champions League final, the biggest competition for clubs in the world. Winning this means millions upon millions for my team and they also get to keep the trophy, having won it now five times.
