Really, I'm Being the Good Husband

Okay, quick little rant...but first, thanks for all the positive feedback on the Gilmore Girls issue.Allright, the wife and I are pretty much broke. We agreed weeks ago not to do anything for Valentine's Day because of that fact. Now am I or am I not the good husband for obeying that agreement?
Today I get to work and my wife's gone off and snuck some candy and a card into my messenger bag. Suddenly, I feel like the bad hubby for not getting her something! Thankfully, I did have a last second backup plan...printing and binding 14 pages of cute emails from when we first started dating. ;) But still!!! Wasn't I being the good husband?
Freakin' capitalistic holidays....
